Science & Innovation

Across all client groups, our role is consistent: making biodiversity science usable and used to inform decisions, strengthen standards, and enable real-world action.

We work with organisations that need science they can use – to shape decisions, standards and action on nature, including:

  • Business alliances & sector organisations. Often bringing multiple companies together, a key priority for our clients is to align members around a shared approach that is credible externally and workable internally, without creating unnecessary burden or fragmentation. We support this by translating biodiversity science into common definitions, practical guidance, and implementable methods, creating structures that make nature ambition achievable, verifiable and valuable across a sector.
  • Standard setters, frameworks & accountability bodies. Focused on shaping the “rules of the game,” the goal for our clients is to develop requirements and guidance that are defensible, clear to interpret, and feasible to apply across different organisations and contexts. We help by providing the scientific backbone for technical drafting, method development and alignment — bridging scientific integrity with business practicality so frameworks can guide action at scale and stand up to scrutiny.
  • Civil society & public-interest organisations. Often working to influence policy, markets or practice, the aim of our clients is to use strong evidence to drive change and to demonstrate and incentivise business progress and outcomes transparently. We support this through science synthesis, informing credible approaches to metrics and learning, and practical methods that partners can apply consistently, helping translate knowledge into scalable solutions that deliver real‑world benefits for nature.
