Tara Zeynep Baris

Tara brings over 10 years of experience across marine science, data science, and product management, with a focus on building scalable tools that make biodiversity data accessible and actionable. With a PhD in marine genomics and a background in predictive modelling and geospatial data products, she has worked across science, industry and the private sector to deliver data-driven solutions.

At The Biodiversity Consultancy, she combines technical depth and product thinking to help translate TBC's biodiversity science into practical tools for business, supporting companies to understand and manage their nature-related impacts.

When not working, Tara enjoys freediving and spending time by the sea, a lifelong passion that first drew her to marine science. She speaks English, Turkish and French.
