Emma has over 20 years’ professional experience in business and biodiversity, supporting companies to understand and manage their interactions with nature. As Practice Director for the Sustainable Infrastructure team, she oversees a team focused on supporting clients align project development with good international industry practice.
Emma’s background is in natural resource management, designing and implementing field-based conservation work in the tropical forests of South America and leveraging carbon finance for forest conservation in West Africa.
Emma has extensive experience in the application of environmental and social standards of international financial institutions; working with lenders to complete project due diligence and with project developers to align with the standards. She supports clients through all phases of project design, construction, and operation, from initial biodiversity risk screening through impact assessment, management planning, offset development and monitoring.
