The Value of the IUCN Red List for Business Decision-making

A new TBC-authored paper, “The Value of the IUCN Red List for Business Decision-making”, has been published by Conservation Letters. The IUCN Red List of Threatened Species provides assessments of extinction risk for over 80,000 species and is increasingly used by business to understand and manage potential impacts on biodiversity. The paper details how the Red List is used in practice and how it could be made even more useful for business, concluding that the crucial role of the Red List in good-practice business decision-making represents both a success and an opportunity for the Red List community.
