Phoebe has an MSc degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Cape Town where her focus was on large mammal ecology and conservation.
Phoebe is based in South Africa and is currently a consultant in the nature strategies team. There, she supports corporate clients in developing nature strategies to reduce their impacts and align with key frameworks. She has strong spatial and statistical data analysis skills and uses these to assist clients in understanding their footprints and impacts.
Before joining The Biodiversity Consultany, Phoebe worked in impact assessment and offset development for infrastructure and mining projects in Africa and the Middle East. She specialised in designing biodiversity baseline surveys, carrying out IFC PS6-compliant critical habitat assessments, and creating biodiversity management plans.
Phoebe has extensive field-based research experience and has worked in Liberia, Gabon, Cote d'Ivoire, Kenya, and Saudi Arabia. She has mostly focused on surveying medium—to large mammals using camera traps and DNA sampling. Phoebe speaks English and French.
