Guy is an expert in global, and especially Asia-Pacific, biodiversity conservation.

Guy has been leading fieldwork, research and conservation projects across Asia, the Pacific and Africa for 25 years, giving him a wealth of personal experience in project management from conception to implementation, monitoring and review.

He has developed biodiversity management plans that fulfil IFC Performance Standard 6, and specialises in risk assessment, developing metrics, quantifying impacts and creating mitigation packages to meet regulatory and corporate standards and policies.

Guy also wrote the definitive guide to the Birds of Melanesia, co-authored the Action Plan for Australian Birds and is an editor of the journal Australasian Field Ornithology. Guy speaks fluent Melanesian Pidgin.
