We believe that developing client capacity is essential to ensuring long-term implementation of actions and lasting management of risk. Central to our approach therefore is a process of mentoring, training and collaborative capacity building. This is achieved through a range of methods depending on the hopes of the client and the issues involved. We have carried out training courses with staff from the Oyu Tolgoi mine in Mongolia, and have mentored staff from several mining and oil and gas projects worldwide. Our internship program has involved staff from companies including Rio Tinto and an international oil and gas group. To help foster a new generation of leaders we partner with Cambridge University Masters in Conservation Leadership and have supported other UK and international undergraduate and post-graduate students.
