NNL and NPI approaches for biodiversity: exploring the potential application of these approaches in the commercial agriculture and forestry sectors

Drawing on experience from other sectors, this IUCN report co-authored by TBC, explores how agriculture and forestry projects can take practical steps to achieve no net loss or net positive Impact on biodiversity. Potential approaches include making production systems more biodiversity-friendly, protecting important biodiversity within the project site, and securing better protection for natural areas beyond project boundaries.

The report indicates how commercial agriculture and forestry production could reduce global biodiversity loss by applying innovative approaches already used by some companies in the extractive and infrastructure industries.
