R&D Consultant
Francesca brings over six years of experience analysing and interpreting environmental, ecological, and spatial data, drawing on her doctoral research and prior roles in sustainability consulting and postgraduate research. She has a background in physics and environmental science and a PhD from ETH Zürich on land-use impacts on biodiversity.
At The Biodiversity Consultancy, Francesca combines her analytical and coding skills to deliver robust environmental assessments that translate complex information into clear visualisations and actionable insights. She supports clients across a wide range of sectors in assessing biodiversity footprints and related risks throughout their operations and supply chains. She contributes to R&D through the development of reproducible workflows, with a focus on the advancement of Critical Habitat screening.
Francesca is fluent in Italian and English, speaks intermediate French, and has basic knowledge of German. When not working, she enjoys reading, crocheting, aerial yoga, and spending time with her family.
