Elena Jaxtheimer

Elena studied Biology at Innsbruck University before completing a Masters in Conservation and Biodiversity at the University of Exeter. Since then, she has gained experience in marine conservation with MPAs in Italy and the US and joined The Biodiversity Consultancy after working with the Eastern Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority, where she was involved in the management of inshore waters including habitat regulation assessments and on-site surveys.

Apart from being out at sea, Elena also enjoys hiking and exploring natural landscapes.
