Katie Fensome

Katie has a background in cross-disciplinary approaches to environmental management, specialising in responsible supply chains.

Prior to joining TBC, Katie worked for Proforest where she worked with large companies in the palm oil sector to help develop policies, action plans and KPIs for addressing environmental and social issues, and supported the facilitation of large inter-company collaborations to drive collaborative action. Katie has worked with civil society organisations to support monitoring of forests both on the ground and through remote spatial analyses, and as a researcher on pollinator biodiversity and behaviour.  

She has an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford and an undergraduate degree in Human Sciences from the University of Sussex. 

Katie speaks fluent Spanish and has lived and worked in Mexico and Malaysia. Her cross-disciplinary background in both natural and social sciences provide a nuanced understanding of the drivers of, and appropriate responses to, environmental change.
