Irina is a highly knowledgeable and experienced consultant with a deep understanding of ESG and biodiversity issues. With over eight years of experience working with financial institutions and firms along the value chain, she has a proven track record of helping clients navigate the complex world of sustainability.
As a Principal Consultant at The Biodiversity Consultancy, Irina is dedicated to helping financial clients on their journey to integrate nature in every aspect of the business, from strategy development and employee training to product offerings. Prior to this, she worked as an ESG Analyst at a green fintech startup, where she focused on modeling the impact of products and services of different funds and portfolios, with a particular emphasis on industry, materials, and water. She also played a key role in developing the methodology and selecting metrics for the startup’s biodiversity coverage.
During her time as a Senior Analyst at CRU Group, a leading metals and mining consultancy, she supported her clients on ESG topics such as the green transition using hydrogen and the EU regulation, including the EU Taxonomy, SFDR, and carbon market regulation.
Irina is fluent in English, Spanish, and Japanese, with Russian being her native language.
